Positive Avenues is a daytime resource center open to those experiencing mental health concerns or homelessness in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Positive Avenues is free, open Monday through Friday. The center’s mission is to provide members with trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services so you can develop social skills and become active members of the community.
Positive Avenues services
Positive Avenues offers a variety of valuable services, facilitated by qualified staff, volunteers and partnerships within the community.
The center offers you certified peer specialists who have lived experience with, trauma, psychiatric diagnosis and/or extreme emotional states and/ or substance use. and have formal training in the peer specialist model of mental health and/or substance use disorder supports.
Peer specialists use their unique recovery experiences, in combination with skills training, to support you by providing a sense of community and belonging, supportive relationships and valued roles. The goal is to promote wellness, self-direction and recovery, enhancing your skills and ability to engage in your chosen roles.

Membership, volunteering and getting in touch
You are welcome to join Positive Avenues daytime drop-in center if you are at least 18 years old and an Eau Claire County resident. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but winter hours vary.
