Our Story

LSS empowers people to live their best lives:

A path to recovery from addiction or mental illness

A home that’s safe and affordable,

A family to thrive in,

Independence and a life that is truly their own.

Our Vision

Healthy communities filled with people using their
God-given gifts to serve.

Our Mission

Act compassionately. Serve humbly. Lead courageously.

Our Impact Is Real

Every year, tens of thousands of people in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan come to us with incredible odds stacked against them. People like Ashley.

Ashley was drinking every day to escape from past traumas. As a result her children were removed from her custody and placed in temporary foster care. Ashley stayed at one of our residential treatment programs for 14 months. She was reunited with her children and today lives as a sober and actively engaged mom.

Ashley exemplifies our vision of healthy communities filled with people using their God-given gifts to serve.
