Daily headlines report that substance use disorder has reached a crisis state, especially in this time of
pandemic. It is a crisis that knows no boundaries. People of every age, gender, ethnicity, race, geographic location, education level and socioeconomic status are affected. Recovery is possible and treatment works.

Three months after discharge from the LSS Aspen Center, one of our 7 residential treatment facilities
throughout Wisconsin, Jesse* stopped in to report on his recovery progress. He currently resides at a sober-living facility, is employed and remains actively engaged in his recovery. He participates in outpatient group therapy and attends to his mental health, which has remained stable.
