Lutheran Social Services (“LSS”) is committed to the highest standards of business and personal ethics. Employees and representatives of the organization must practice honesty and integrity in fulfilling their responsibilities and comply with all laws, regulations, and policies adopted by the organization.
The Board of Directors of LSS has responsibility for investigating all reported Concerns and making a recommendation for corrective action under this Policy. The Board may enlist the assistance of other parties in the investigation of a Concern.
In order to promote and further this practice, it is the policy of LSS that every employee, volunteer or representative of LSS be encouraged and be able to report, on an anonymous and confidential basis if they prefer, any conduct believed to be illegal or unethical such as: Questionable or improper accounting or auditing matters; inappropriate use of LSS assets; violations of written company policy; other illegal practices (herein collectively referred to as “Concerns”). Employees should be aware that an anonymous report may be difficult to investigate. Therefore, we encourage, but do not require, identification of the employee reporting Concerns.
