Signa is the director of wellness programs at Lutheran Social Services. She has worked at LSS for over ten years. As director, she oversees all the outpatient mental health clinics and runaway and youth programming throughout the state of Wisconsin; Sexual Assault Services in Racine; Stop Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN); FAST and Baby FAST programs; childcare, including before and after; premarriage workshops and financial counseling services.
Signa is a licensed professional counselor and substance abuse counselor. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern Maine. She received her master’s degree in counseling from Lakeland College. She has worked as a mental health and alcohol and drug clinician and specialized in trauma work, EMDR, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. She started out at LSS as an intern, has worked as a clinician and has been a supervisor as well.
Signa believes it is her job to engage and empower her staff to not only live out the LSS mission and vision, but to guide and support them so they can work with their staff and clients to gain and maintain their maximum potential in life.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in psychology, University of Southern Maine. Master’s degree in counseling from Lakeland College, Wisconsin
