Kristine believes that we can find meaning and purpose in life regardless of the obstacles we need to overcome in order to live a healthy, balanced life. Kristine feels that common behavioral health issues can be worked through by always keeping in touch with or cultivating that meaning and purpose.
With that as a starting point, Kristine uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care as evidence-based approaches to address many behavioral health concerns. Kristine has specialized training in several evidence-based trauma treatment modalities including CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) and Brainspotting.
Therapy is always an individual process for each client. Kristine believes that accompanying clients on that journey toward recovery from a mental illness or from substance abuse and addiction and meeting clients where they currently are are two hallmarks of effective counseling.
