LSS Gaining Ground provides two types of individualized services based on personalized needs and offered in a safe, stigma-free environment.
First, Crisis Stabilization Services are for persons experiencing a personal crisis. The nature of this can vary widely, with examples including individuals experiencing homelessness, individuals needing help facilitating connection with various community resources, and assistance completing various applications such as for FoodShare, employment, or getting a phone.
Second, our services can also be added to an existing Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) plan as a Service Provider for services such as Individuals Skill Development and Enhancement or Peer Support, affording a level of acceptance and understanding while assisting individuals to self-manage various aspects of physical and social health. CCS is a program for individuals with mental health and/or substance use concerns, and the goal is to help with recovery, and promote stabilization to help individuals reach their goals and live their best lives.
