Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds

With a donor advised fund (DAF), you establish a charitable giving account through a contribution to a fund administrator. If you have a DAF, you can recommend a one-time grant or recurring grants to support the work of Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.

To Recommend a Grant to LSS

Contact your fund administrator to recommend a grant to LSS. The process may vary, but most fund administrators will require the following information:

Organization Name: Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan

Address: 6737 W Washington St, Suite 2275, Milwaukee, WI 53214

Tax ID or EIN: 39-0816846

Contact Person: Cory Anshus, Director of Donor Engagement, 414-246-2319, corrine.anshus@lsswis.org

Do More With Your DAF

You may name LSS or the LSS Foundation (EIN 39-1242451) to receive your DAF account balance after your lifetime. Contact your fund administrator to add a charitable beneficiary for remaining funds.

Resources for Establishing a DAF

You can establish or grow your DAF with cash and/or other types of assets. Many LSS donors establish DAFs with partners such as the ELCA FoundationThrivent Charitable, community foundations and other charitable funds that administer DAFs to support donors who wish to establish a donor advised fund.

LSS Advancement staff are based in offices across our two-state reach, and we are here to help. We are happy to speak with you and work with your philanthropic, financial, and legal advisors to help you with gift plans that achieve your philanthropy goals. You are encouraged to contact Jennifer Williamson, Faith Partnerships and Planned Giving Associate, at Jennifer.Williamson@lsswis.org or (414) 391-5058 or any of our staff members if we can be of assistance.
