Bequest Gifts
Bequest Gifts
Your will is a simple tool you can use for protecting your loved ones and for ensuring that your wishes are carried out in the future. A bequest in your will is perhaps the easiest way to leave a lasting legacy of care for the people, places, ministries, and charities that have meant the most to you.
By leaving a bequest to the LSS Foundation Endowment, you’ll continue to provide help to neighbors served by LSS even beyond your lifetime. Or, you may choose to direct your bequest to go to LSS programs to be used immediately.
Sample bequest language
I give and bequeath (choose one) $______ or ______ % of my estate to (choose one) The LSS Foundation, Inc. or Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Inc., for the use and benefit of all of its locations, or its successors in interest.
Please let us know
If you have included LSS in your estate plans, please know that we are deeply grateful. Please consider completing our Planned Gift Statement of Intent Form and sending us a copy. This helps to ensure our records are up to date and helps us make sure we can put your gift to use according to your wishes.
We are here to help
The LSS Foundation was established in 1974 to help LSS donors build a long-term legacy to support the mission work of Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Earnings from invested funds held by the Foundation are regularly disbursed to LSS to bring healing, health, and well-being to children, adults, and families.
LSS Advancement staff are based in offices across our two-state reach, and we are here to help. We are happy to speak with you and work with your philanthropic, financial, and legal advisors to help you with gift plans that achieve your philanthropy goals. You are encouraged to contact Jennifer Williamson, Faith Partnerships and Planned Giving Associate, at Jennifer.Williamson@lsswis.org or (414) 391-5058 or any of our staff members if we can be of assistance.
