Family Traditions

Holidays: We spend holidays at Tanya’s mom’s house. These are always an old-time feeling of togetherness, and no one misses the big holidays at Tanya’s mom’s! She loves to cook big meals, decorate the home and outdoors. She has fun with every holiday. We have to bring out the two leafs for the table plus additional seating. It’s not just for family as friends are all welcome. We play games, have great conversations, sing Christmas songs and unite all as family. Every year is something new, but every year is another memory!

Vacations: We love to see new things. We are always exploring new places and coming up with ideas on where to go next! Places we have been are Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Door County, and many other little places. We are planning a trip this October to Mackinaw Island. Also, we are looking into a big trip to Disneyland soon.  It’s not always a vacation, but we like to go to Wisconsin Dells and go mini golfing and on the boat tours. We like to go to zoos, and we are going to go to the Shedd Aquarium this summer.

Family Gatherings: We host many friends and family gatherings. We have birthdays and holidays at our home for friends. Or just last-minute gatherings. All our kids grow up as “cousins.” Our family has a very loving support system and love from many friends we consider as family. We enjoy having everyone over to play games, mingle, swim and play. We like to have evening fires and roast marshmallows. We also like to have 4th of July, watching fireworks. Seeing the smiles and laughs from the kids is all worth it to us. Having a connection with our friends like the ones we established is a blessing.

Others: Often we spend time with Brianna and do activities like hiking, biking or walking. Admiring nature, learning new things, what name of a bug is or a bird. We like to take our dog out on hikes. We also like to just spend time cuddled up on our couch watching family movies or having game nights! We also admire taking turns as parents and working with Brianna on learning activities and reading. Family time is very important to us. We also created a “Waiting for baby Lesavage” facebook page to keep our friends and family updated on all our progress and updates. Feel free to check that out!

Birthparent Letter:

We are grateful for the opportunity to write to you about our family, our home and our hopes and dreams for your child. We look forward to adopting a baby. When we was first told Tanya couldn’t carry and give birth to a child the news was devastating to us, and we had already suffered the loss of 3 children. But after thinking about what was important to us, we realized that loving and nurturing a child was far more important than being pregnant and giving birth.

Adoption offers us a chance to realize our dreams and to give a child a wonderful life and bright future. We honor you for this courageous decision you have made to choose life for you baby and to look at all the options for securing your baby’s future. We want you to know that we are prepared to give this child a life filled with love and endless opportunities.

We’ve been happily married for 3 years and been together for combined 10 years. We started dating in high school and had a bond that was unbreakable through 11 years of being separated. We met again 7 years ago and it was like high school all over again. Our family is the most important thing to us as we take as much time as we can to do family things and be together.

We thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about our family. We recognize how overwhelming it may be to go through the process of choosing the right family for your child. We hope that as you learn more about us you will feel comfortable in your decision that we will provide your child with a loving and nurturing home. We are excited as a family about the opportunity to become adoptive parents and to learn more about you and we have that our dreams for our children will match what you want for your baby. We hope that as you read this story and look at our pictures that you will feel our sincere love and desire to open our hearts to not only your child, but also YOU! We will be forever grateful to you and your most priceless gift. We welcome you with open arms and hope to build a long, lasting relationship together. Our family feels an abundance of gratitude for the selfless decision you have made to create this adoption plan and we thank you for getting to know us a little better through our profile.
