Family Traditions: Holiday traditions are very important to us.  We have established new family traditions while maintaining the traditions that our parents started. We spend quality time with both our extended families. Since most of our family lives within 20 minutes of our home, we relish not only spending big holidays together but also being able to…

  • Watch 4th of July fireworks on the boat
  • Make popcorn balls, Christmas cookies and candy together
  • Sing Christmas carols around the piano
  • Trick or Treating with cousins
  • Bundle up to watch the Appleton Christmas parade together
  • Celebrate birthdays
  • Dye and hunt for Easter eggs

Vacations:  Every summer we rent a condo in the North Woods of Wisconsin with Brian’s extended family.  Last year over 50 of his aunts, uncles, and cousins were there!  We spend the week fishing, boating, skiing, tubing, cooking, and enjoying each other’s company. We also love to visit waterparks during the winter months with family and friends. We look forward to creating fun-filled memories with your child and sharing them with you.

Family Gatherings: Between both our families your child would have 12 aunts and uncles, 7 nephews, 8 nieces and 2 sets of grandparents…all waiting to welcome your child to our family with open arms. Not a week goes by that we don’t see our families. During the summer we try to spend as much time at Joy’s family cottage on the lake.  We are kids at heart and love to have water balloon fights and go tubing and fishing. Summer evenings are spent roasting marshmallows and telling stories around the camp fire.  We get together with our family often during the winter months too.  We enjoy making a big pot of soup and having extended family come other to watch Badger and Packer games. When we are at home we enjoy playing games, reading together, making oh-so-yummy meals together and watching movies. We enjoy the little moments and try not to let the busyness of the day get in the way of being together as a family.

Dear Birth Parent

We want you to know we think you are so brave and we admire your strength. Thank you for reading this letter and considering up as possible adoptive parents for your child. Here is just a glimpse of the loving and supportive family we could offer your child.

We’ve always loved kids and our love for children has grown tremendously since we were blessed with our son, Ethan. We are unable to have any more biological children and are so grateful that we can still welcome another child into our lives through the blessing of adoption.  Ethan is especially excited about being a big brother. We know how incredible it can be to have a sibling to grow up with.

Brian will be an amazing dad for your child. He truly is a hands-on-dad; changing diapers, getting up in the middle of the night to scare away monsters, and building Legos. He is also a wonderful cook and does all the cooking. (I know…I’m spoiled!) He enjoys cheering on the Badgers and Packers and golfing with our son and his dad.

Joy truly fits her name and is able to light up a room with her smile. She is the best mom that any child could ask for; she would give your child her undivided attention while continuously teaching and encouraging him/her to try their best and have fun while doing it. She loves her job as a speech therapist and loves that she has summers and holiday vacations off to spend time with her family.

We have an extremely strong marriage and love being parents. We would teach your child good values, like the importance of family, education, honesty, kindness and faith. We would have a lot of fun too! Whatever your child would be interested in, whether it be soccer or football, gymnastics or dance, spelling bees or band concerts we would encourage your child to follow their dreams.

We promise that if you choose us… your child will be surrounded by family and friends who love them unconditionally. Your child will always know of your love for them. We promise to talk about you in positive ways and with love. Our hope is that you will continue to be a part of your child’s life. We look forward to sharing not only the big milestones with you but also the little moments.

We believe we’ve been lead down this path for a reason and we can’t wait to meet you. We wish you the best of luck in making your decision and thank you for taking the time to learn about our family.

Much love,

Brian, Joy & Ethan
