LSS and those we serve welcome your partnership of financial support in a variety of forms.  Unrestricted gifts are used to support LSS programs and customers where most needed.  LSS also gladly accepts gifts restricted to either a particular LSS program, or geographic region. 
 

Most gifts of financial support to LSS come in the form of cash, but LSS accepts gifts in other forms as well: 

• Securities – stocks, bonds and mutual fund shares often make good gifts.
• Real Estate – may be given for use by LSS, if needed, or for sale.

LSS also accepts a variety of planned gifts.  Included among this group of gifts are: 

• Bequests – To learn more about supporting LSS by providing a provision in your will, click here*.
• Charitable Gift Annuities – are vehicles that provide an income stream and tax deduction to the donor in return for an irrevocable gift.  To learn more about supporting LSS by establishing a Charitable Gift Annuity, click here*.
• Retirement Fund and Insurance Policy Assets – These gifts are becoming more popular and common.  Unneeded death benefits from insurance policies, or unneeded retirement fund assets may be directed to LSS often with a simple change of beneficiary.
• Trusts - Those we serve benefit from a variety of trusts, some of which (charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts) provide some tax benefits.  (Consult your professional advisors for details on how these instruments and those listed above affect your own tax situation.)
