Tory Suehs has worked at Homme Youth & Family Programs since 2000. During her time at Homme she has served as a youth counselor, a therapist, a unit supervisor/therapist, and now as the Clinical Manager, overseeing admissions and the clinical team. For the first 9 years, Tory worked primarily with residents with cognitive delays or spectrum disorders, who had committed sexual offenses or engaged in other delinquent behaviors. Since then Tory has worked with the Acceptance unit, which focuses on assisting older residents in learning independent living skills and transitioning back into the community. Tory has also become a trainer for Aggression Replacement Therapy, CANS, and Mental Health Curriculum for Juvenile Justice Workers. She has been trained in Brainspotting, TF-CBT, equine therapy, and has trained and introduced the first therapy dog, Sage, to the Homme campus. Tory earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Behavioral Science & Law from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and her master’s degree in Counseling with a Community emphasis from Lakeland College. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
