The Adoption Ambassadors traveled to the Philippines in early February.  This program reverses the summer camp experience that LSS has done in the past with older children from Russia.  Nine people went to the Philippines for a 12-day experience that introduced them to 12 older children who are ready for inter-country adoption.  The ambassadors and children participated in site seeing, water activities, and a mission project.  Upon their return, the ambassadors are assisting in recruitment of families who would adopt the children over the next year.  "So far, many of the children are in the adoption process, but we still need families for the other children," says Carol Hakala, LSS adoption worker.  "The hearts of each of the ambassadors is committed to finding families for each of the children."
